Our Philosophy

We believe every child deserves to be known, loved, and inspired to learn. Through purposeful play, meaningful relationships, and hands-on learning exploration, we create an environment where children build confidence, curiosity, and a lifelong love of learning.

Our Approach

Our play-based approach encourages children to explore, ask questions, solv problems, and develop independence. Every experience is thoughtfully designed to support the whole child--academically, socially, emotionally, and physically.

At Devyne Scholar Academy, we believe learning happens through strong relationships. We foster a welcoming community where children, families, and educators work together to help every child thrive. We also value partnerships that strengthen the experiences for children and families. Devyne Scholar Academy is proud to partner with the Arapahoe Early Childhood Council to support early literacy and high-quality early learning.

Meet the Director

Hi, I'm Dawnae Burnett, founder and executive director of Devyne Scholar Academy.

With a degree in Human Development & Family Studies with a concentration in Early Childhood Professions, I have dedicated my career to creating high-quality learning experiences that help children thrive.

I am honored to have been recognized as an Early Childhood Champion from the Colorado Department of Early Childhood and to have recieved the Founder Award: Entreprenuer of the Year from Ednium Alumni. These recognitions reflect my passion for early childhood education, advocacy, and building strong partnerships with children, families, and our community.

At Devyne Scholar Academy, my goal is simple: to create a place where every child is known, loved, and inspired to learn. Through purposeful play, meaningful relationships, and intentional teaching, I strive to provide nurturing environment where children build confidence, curiosity, and a lifelong love of learning.
